Which Schischek Actuator Do You Need?
The line is built in three tiers. Ex models go in Division 1 areas, Red models in Division 2 areas, and In models in ordinary locations.

How to Read the Model Number
The letters after the torque tell you what the actuator does. The same code runs across ExMax, RedMax and InMax.

| S | Two limit switches at 5 and 85 degrees |
| Y | Modulating control, 0 to 10 VDC or 4 to 20 mA, with feedback |
| F | Spring return, about 3 or 10 seconds |
| SF | Spring return plus limit switches |
| YF | Spring return plus modulating control |
| BF | Spring return plus a connector for the ExPro-TT temperature trigger, for fire and smoke dampers |
| F1 | Fast spring return, 1 second or less |
An A at the end is the North American version. A full part number reads like RedMax-135-SF-A.
